About this deal

The Monument Masters 1215K, 1315XVE (replacing the 1315Longarm ), 1222G and the 1322Extended Pipe Bender are #MadeInBritain. First models of the new pipe bender were designed and 3D printed in the engineering suite at Monument. We standardised the handle diameters for both sizes.

The formers are sized at different pipes sizes and are about 150mm long. Now, as you close the handle, the former pushes the pipe round the wheel former giving you a perfect, kink free bend. less fiddly – with the integrated hook and nylon guide, your hook stop won’t flop from side to side and the guide(s) won’t fall out This is one of the reasons plumbers prefer to use a copper pipe bender rather than simply cut the pipe and put a bend fitting like an elbow into the run to change direction. Pipe springs are just that. Springs which go in pipes. Putting a spring into a pipe before applying pressure to bend it, will stop the pipe kinking. Pipe springs can be used in pipes up to 22mm diameter but bending a 22mm pipe with a spring is a herculean task which none of us would attempt. Before you remove the pipe from the Former, view your bend angle; remove the pipe if it is correct, or if necessary, reapply the Lever Arm and increase the bend angle. Frequently Asked Questions FAQs Place the Lever Arm over the positioned pipe and place the Lever Hook onto the Pivot Pins, ensure the Nylon Guide is seated. Rubber feet are available code 2607F which fit the 1215K, 1315XVE, 1315Longarm, 1222G, 1322Extended. Two rubber feet are included in the 22mm versions. The rubber feet also fit the Monument 15mm/22mm combi bender 2600K. throating occurs on testing with the XV, XVE (XVL) XXII, XXIIE as well as Monument 2600K and a Hilmor® GLM The copper pipe is then placed under the hook across the top of the wheel former (5) and under the stay.

Mark the pipe where you want start of the bend. Position the pipe in the Former under the Retaining Hook. Position the start of bend vertically in line with the Pivot Pin. XV is much smaller than a combi; arm length is 40cm compared to a combi arm length of 65cm. Note the 15mm XVL & 22mm XXII arm lengths are about 60cm Pipe benders come in a variety of sizes catering for copper pipes from 6mm to 38mm and are operated by hand. Mechanical benders deal with pipes bigger than this. We have included bending angles of 30 45 60 and 90 degrees on the XV and XVL 15mm versions and an additional 75 degree angle on the 22mm version; these are easily visible on the Former of each bender.pipe, bent with a spring is ok, but do not expect a very tidy job and read our project about how to box the pipes in afterwards as although it will probably do the job it will need hiding away! We have also designed bending arm extension handles to increase the leverage for bending both 15mm 22mm copper pipe. These short threaded extension handles code 1224M fit both the 15mm XV XVE & XVL and 22mm XXII versions. One or more extension handles can be added for additional leverage. better sight lines– as the bend is in the same plane as the Arms of the bender it is easier to line up by eye
