About this deal

This rig comes with a wheel and pedal mount, and they’re designed to offer a decent amount of adjustability. However, the real star of the show is the comfortable racing seat you get with this rig. It’s not in the same low profile position as the Playseat Challenge, but this makes it more versatile for other forms of racing. I have 8Nm version and so far very satisfied. Coming from Logitech G923, DD is, if I quote Monty Python, something completely different 😀. There’s room on the Playseat Challenge for your pedals too, of course. They sit on foam-lined metal frame bars that curl up at the end, to avoid you pushing the pedal set off into the distance when you depress the brake. The Playseat Challenge X – Logitech G Edition features three new enhanced upgrades, including X-Adapt™ seat adjustments, ActiFit™️ breathable material and a hard mounted pedal plate with tilt positioning. The new Playseat Challenge X – Logitech G Edition features: My main thread is https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/24024/new-to-fanatec but thought it would be better to post about the racing seat here. First, to get it off the table, I will go with Playseat, question is only which version.

The Playseat Challenge is a great piece of equipment. It accomplishes what it set out to do and it does it well. However, if you’re in the market for a beginner sim racing rig, there are a few Playseat Challenge alternatives to be aware of. If you dont have much budget left and you can only afford a budget rig, instead of buying brand new you may think of purchasing used instead which may get you a better quality rig for the same price range.

ActiFit fabric The seat cover of this version of the Challenge is ActiFit, described as a “vertical microfibre” pattern that promotes airflow. The GT Lite features two metal plates to mount pedals – which we can help you choose in our 2023 Buyer’s Guide – that can be set at a raised angle or placed flat on the floor depending on the user’s preference.

Make sure there is sufficient padding and that the height and angle of the seat (and all mounts) is adjustable. If it’s not all that adjustable, then at least make sure its standard dimensions are suitable for your own. Affordability The Challenge is Playseat’s most approachable and practical racing seat for the average gamer. It’s the cheapest in the line-up too. Given you might assume this is a “weedy” racing wheel seat, I’ve been impressed by how sturdy it feels as you actually drive. While there’s more flex if you drive under pressure, you’re generally moving along with it thanks to the frame design. It’s much less distracting than the “wobble” of a stand where the wheel is held up using a column sat between your legs. This is a good option for those that want a comfortable seat with adjustable mounting options. It's designed to be easy to set up, and it's a comfortable choice for longer sim racing sessions. I have some space. But still, I wanted to use the Challenge right now. I will see what will happen when I get everything here.New Racing Seat that Combines Affordability with Uncompromising Quality for Console and PC Users to Experience the Thrill of Racing at Home! Comfort is a big thing to take into account when choosing your Playseat alternative. You don’t want to be uncomfortable during long gaming sessions in your racing seat as it ruins the whole experience and breaks your immersion. Not only that, but an uncomfortable chair can be detrimental to your health if it doesn’t support proper posture. Unfortunately, the use of fabric instead of leather means it doesn’t feel as premium as the other products on this list, but rest assured, it is very comfortable. It supports all the big brands in Sim Racing hardware, like Fanatec, Moza Racing, Heusinkveld, Asetek, and more too, which is an added bonus for future-proofing your setup.
