The story takes place four years after the events of "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom," revealing a world where dinosaurs coexist with humans, leading to conflict and danger.

The scene at the logging camp is a fantastic example of small tiny humans in the left foreground, HUGE dinos in the middle, and more even tinier people in the deep background getting their Spielbergian Wondergaze on. While the action sequences were fun the character arcs were a bit thin compounded by bringing back Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm, Laura Dern’s Ellie Sattler, and Sam Niel’s Alan Grant. We’ve posted a new Blu-ray review here at The Bits, featuring my take on Akira Kurosawa’s 70 mm masterpiece Dersu Uzala (1975), which is new on Blu-ray from Imprint Films.If this movie had focused more on dinosaurs being in on the mainlands of the Earth and less about the Locusts, then this movie would have been a lot better. Even a cluttered tent when we first meet Alan Grant is a great example of what this conversion offered up with a tight cluttered location filled with objects all experiencing some measure of depth. The plot was kind of B-Movie weak (although the bad guy resembling Tim Cook from Apple was kind of entertaining), but the effects were more impressive than ever, however implausible and it was nice to see all the players in the same movie.

Spielberg made the first Jurassic Park, but you know the actors' performances are more authentic when they're interacting with what's there and not using their imagination just to get their eye-line right. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. In 1993 when Jurassic Park was released it was a groundbreaking film and inspired the imaginations of millions of people. I know, the Teaser (This music=goosebumps) ist not new, but its so great to see, that we´ll get a nearly fullscreen picture Looks like 1.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. There are a few dodgy shots here and there like Owen on the horse in the mountains chasing down a dino or when everyone was trying to run away from the raptors on Malta where the iffy CGI backgrounds don’t come alive in 3D, but those are only momentary sequences.

In my opinion the 3D quality was best in the original JP and then took a small step down in JW and a big step down from there with JW2.

This two-disc set offers a region-free BD-50 of the Theatrical Cut in 3D with a Region Free BD-50 offering both the Theatrical Cut and the longer Extended Edition - essentially the same disc offered with the domestic 4K and Blu-ray issued here in the states. So when we talk about directors determining the quality of 3D, there really isn’t much to it for the vast majority of newer movies these days. All other releases worldwide are flat though the 3D version is coming in Germany from Turbine, some time in 2024.
