It was also worth checking out a few on-line videos and investing in a length of 15mm pipe with which to practice in the tool's usage. My only previous experience of bending pipes was based on inserting pipe springs, but I quickly gave up with this method after several unsuccessful attempts.I've heard a few people say, oh well what about the Former, it's plastic whatever, but it's replaceable.

These are at the upper end of what I expect to pay but I'd rather keep my money in the UK so I am happy to support British manufacturers. It pulls a bend just as easy as my Hilmors did, and I quite like the fact you don't have this big bulky end part where you have the 15 and the 22 together. From personal experience, I can now recommend stripping the tool before using it and greasing the roller sleeves and main pivot fulcrum bolt and in use, to develop a smooth constant pressure on the actuator arms if the user wishes to avoid inner curve wrinkles. Small and easy to carry, gave a nice size bend with no crimping, so much easier to judge by eye that you have the right bend you need.

The fact that they bend on the same plane makes them way more accurate than anything I've been used to. Some mention that it bends perfectly, no crimping, and easily bends 15mm copper pipe, while others say that they don't produce clean bends, the bends were heavily crinkled, and the bend looked unsightly.
