The DacMagic 100 Cambridge Audio It works by directly taking your device's digital audio signal to bypass your sound card or DAC. I noticed that many constructions, even recognized producers, based on LM350 regulators, are created in such a way, so I decided to stick to the rules.

I have my Rotel RC1572MkII CD player connected via direct RCA (using Rotel's supplied RCA cable) and via it's coax digital output (into my Peachtree DAC-it-x DAC which connects via RCA to my pre-amp) for comparison purposes and the Peachtree DAC seems to play at a noticeably lower output level than the Rotel connect direct. Premium digital audio – Premium components, extensive connectivity and robust build quality ensures incredible audio performance. Factory set foil capacitors formed a matched pair with dark Fujicons, but with MUSE ES the situation has clearly changed. Looking from the technical side, the lower registers improved the same as the rest of the band, but it lost its energy and differentiation, it has stopped enjoying and surprising so much. The inclusion of an asynchronous USB input is a notable feature for computer-based audio setups, as it helps to reduce jitter and improve audio quality.I'd previously been acquainted with the Wolfson WM8740, which I liked; the DM100's 8742 is along the same sound lines, I think. Move on to Emeli Sandé’s Heaven and the Cambridge paints a tonally even picture with well-mannered treble and weighty, precise low frequencies. Add to this the USB input and gold-plated analogue RCA outputs for connecting to your hi-fi and the DacMagic 100 has every angle covered. If you download high-res music files from HDtracks and other audiophile sources, this DAC will ensure that you hear them in all their glory. In my own listening tests I have found that the DacMagic 100 performs very well over the whole bandwidth without any instantly recognisable imbalances.
