About this deal

To achieve this purple I went a bit crazy and mixed the three dyes in all the combinations I could, so that I had four different shades on my head (Plum/Violet, Plum/Neon Blue, Violet/Neon Blue, Neon Blue/Violet/Plum) because I really wanted to achieve different tones of purple. I’ve washed my hair about three times since I’ve dyed it now and even though it’s not staining as much and as brightly, it is still staining white/light coloured things like my nails and pillow cases.

With no ammonia, peroxide or PPD and a ‘no animal testing’ policy, Directions is not only the best fashion shade of choice, it’s also the safer way to colour. The only option i had left was to put a red dye over my hair to neutralize the green tones and essentially keep applying the red until the green underneath has all grown out of my hair. Again i began using natural methods to fade the colour in my hair (baking soda, vitamin C, etc) but the green wasn’t fading at all.

Directions plum is much darker than the other purples in the range, this makes it one of the best choices for use on unbleached hair. I adored the colour on my hair and from what i can remember over Christmas it faded relatively quickly with little problems. So a warning to all those thinking about using La Riche Directions, i loved this product and i would highly recommend this dye on pre-treated hair, but if you are thinking of putting it on top of your natural hair colour please talk to your hair dresser first or at least do a test first, just dye a streak of your hair and see what phases it goes through over time first! A full list of ingredients for Special Effects, Manic Panic, Adore, Crazy Color, Pravana ChromaSilk, Directions, Headshot, Herman's Amazing, Rebellious, Via Natural and Stargazer Hair Dyes can be seen in the following section: Hair Dye Ingredients. This will balance your hair's PH before dying and remove excess oils to ensure the best results from the Hair Colour.

Plus I add a little of the dye to my conditioner (using gloves) this keeps my colour vibrant without having to "properly" re-dye. I also used gloves when I was dying my hair (obviously) but my finger tips still managed to also dye. I have been dying my hair for years, starting with natural toned permanents until last year when I took the plunge and tried bright semis. It is not possible for us to draw any conclusions about you, and any data collected as a result will never be passed on to third parties.

I didn't even bother bleaching or lightening my hair, which was a faded red colour at the time, and it went blindingly bright.
