His book is a synthesis of right-wing populism and conspiracism, asserting that the present political and economic systems in most developed nations are the result of a sweeping conspiracy by the Establishment's power elite.

As has been shown in nation after nation, if this is allowed to happen, monopolies in manufacturing, communication, transportation, and all other significant economic activities will follow, and that is itself just a transitional stage on the way to estabilshment of a world totalitarian dictatorship.It puts the 21st century lifelong liberal in an awkward spot, actually, as we have to be sympathetic - even defensive - for President Nixon. That's what liberalism does to your brain: it destroys the natural instinctive ability to see patterns.
