About this deal

Her warmth, natural interview skills and ability to make presenting live TV seem effortless and has given her the opportunity to present a variety of shows over the years. But, recently I have found the heaviness that resides in many spiritual books inaccessible to my low lockdown concentration. I have read all of Fearne's books over the years and always found them to be a life line in helping me live my life in my most authentic way. It's about learning to be your true self, listening and being honest with yourself to enable yourself to be happy.

I've read quite a few "self-help" books in the past couple of years, and so this one seemed a bit like a book for beginners, or people just dipping their toe into self-discovery. Speak Your Truth dives into all the ways we learn to stay quiet for the wrong reasons, and explores how to find your voice, assert yourself and speak out with confidence. Philippa Perry, author of The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read'Loved it - without judgement, but with a cheeky wink of wisdom, Fearne gives you the tools that she's learned on her own journey. In 2005 she joined Radio 1 where she spent 10 incredible years, initially co-hosting morning shows with Reggie Yates and then moving onto the UK Top 40 show before taking over the prestigious weekday morning slot in 2009; here she mixed big celebrity interviews with exclusive acoustic performances in the Live Lounge. Fearne Cotton’s voice is familiar to millions, whether that’s through television, radio or on her hugely successful Happy Place podcast. She talks about partying in her early twenties when she wasn’t really sure she wanted to, and dying her hair different colours to try and fit in. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Loved this book and totally resonated with the things Ferne had experienced when speaking (or not speaking) her truth!

An almighty positive which came out of a terrible year, let it inspire us all to stand tall, look the new year right in the eye and resolve to speak our truth. This book is about taming the bad inner voice - the one that has the power to overthrow gut instinct and talk us out of new adventures. I was really looking forward to reading this book, as I really like ferne and what she stands for even more so in recent years. I did feel like the last third resonated less with me and was more about the world in general re: culture, politics, wider movements, so while it was interesting it wasn't as thoroughly encompassing as the first two thirds.Fearne currently enjoys working alongside Cath Kidston and Garnier Olia and is also a brand ambassador for BaByliss, where she creates a series of ‘Get the Look’ videos and tutorials, recreating her go-to styles using BaByliss tools.

Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. On top of this I think everyone has at least three hats that they wear in life to protect themselves - myself probably ten but I’m not upset with that as those are the people that I need to be for those situations. As a book designer, I have been pleased to learn that people have been reading more books, which has been great for the publishing industry. This book didn't disappoint and, like her previous work, felt like catching up with an old friend who just 'gets it'. I’ve learnt I’ve got a lot to learn about myself and I’ve got to let go of other peoples truths about me and have the courage to be the person I want to be.I am not a particular fan of Fearne Cotton but I found this audiobook on my library app and it looked interesting.
