I'd have though a likely murder (which is uncharacteristic for the small town) would have seen the local constabulary jump at the chance to solve. The lawyer they think is mixed up in everything is a sexist scuzzball that harasses Becks when she goes to his office. Thank you so much to the publisher, Poisoned Pen Press, for providing me with a copy to read and review.Every evening, come rain or shine, she'd take off her clothes, wrap the cape around herself, and step out of her house feeling a delicious frisson of naughtiness. It was a very character driven story and it is lovely to see older people, particularly women, kicking ass! I do appreciate that the author featured an older protagonist, which is a refreshing change of pace.
