About this deal

Make sure you enjoy the churros hot and fresh next to a mug of Champurrado or Café de Olla for the sweetest experience. As a bonus, I’ve included a recipe for homemade chocolate sauce. It’s definitely the best dessert dip around! What are churros? This technique isn’t just useful on cupcakes. I also used it on this fun 4th of July cake. The entire flag is made of puffs! Technique #4: Zig-Zags Water, flour, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla– These are used to make the choux pastry. This easy dough comes together on the stove and has the same flavor and texture as a cream puff or eclair. There are so many techniques with this one tip. There are so many different looks you can achieve with this one tip, alone. I video-taped five of my favorites but there are plenty more. And remember, these techniques aren’t just good for cupcakes. . .they’re great for cakes, as well.

Key Lime Pie filling is so zingy and sour, it makes your mouth tingle in such a good way! The whipped cream balances it out perfectly and the base adds crunchy texture. It's a great summer dessert and an excellent refresher after a heavy meal. Key Lime Pie is one of those classic desserts that everyone has to try! Troubleshooting I want to make my first cupcake is their any tips for decorating your first batch of cupcakes Reply

Chocolate sauce– A homemade chocolate sauce is one of the best dips you can serve with churros. Make your own using the recipe I’ve given you below or use Nutella instead.

Hot and fresh churros are best served with a variety of dipping sauces! These options pair perfectly with the sweet dough and cinnamon sugar coating:Please Note: Customised or personalised items are excluded from the regulations and cannot be returned. Due to food safety concerns, ready-made cakes are not subject to return unless considered faulty or not fit for purpose.

Choose the piping bag and tip of your choice. I always use a re-usable decorating bag for large tips and disposable piping bags for smaller tips since I don't use small tips that often, and my decorating bags are already cut to fit larger tips. What do the letters represent, for example I have a piping tip called 9ft. I want to know what ft stands for Reply Yes, you can follow the shortcrust pastry recipe used in my Bakewell Tart recipe. Can this recipe be made with other citrus juice? As soon as the base is baked, remove from the oven, carefully pour over the topping and return to the oven. Immediately lower the temperature to 160°C fan/180°C/350°F/gas mark 4 and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is set; it should be slightly firm and golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely. Step 1: Heat the oil. Do this first to save time. Fill a large pan or pot with your frying oil and heat it to 365-375°F. (I like to use a dutch oven or a saute pan with high sides when frying churros.)

To create a rosette, point your star tip down in the center of cupcake and apply pressure while making a lower-case “e” and then continuing the circular motion until the rosette is the size you want. (Make a complete circle. Take it to the edge of the cupcake.) The photo above shows two main types of leaf piping tips. The one on the left, the Wilton 352, has a large V notch, which creates a smooth leaf that is full at the base and tapered towards the end. The tip on the right with the smaller opening, the Wilton 67, has a cut along the top and sides with a tiny notch in its middle. This helps make a more ruffled leaf. Piping tips are nothing if not paired with a piping bag. Depending on your project, there are a few options to choose from when it comes to finding the right decorating bag. The grass tip is one of the most popular in this category and can be used to pipe grass and fur, like these Easter Egg Cupcakes or this Fluffy Bunny Cake. The basketweave tip, which has both a flat and serrated side, is great for adding texture to the sides of your cake, like in this Floral Basketweave Cake.Disposable Decorating Bags – If you like easy cleanup (who doesn’t), these bags are perfect for decorating. Available in both 12 and 16 in. sizes, these bags work with any Wilton decorating tip and coupler. When you’re done, simply remove the tip from the bag and throw the bag away. Step 3: Add the eggs. Once the dough is cool, stir in 1 egg at a time using a wooden spatula. After it’s combined, add the other egg. I piped the whipped cream on top of the tart using a Wilton 1M and Wilton 6B nozzle. You can also simply dollop it on top. Fried foods not for you? No problem! Try my recipe for Baked Pumpkin Churros. The texture and flavor aren’t totally the same as fried, but it’s a good alternative if you don’t want to fry them. For this tutorial, however, I used my Dreamy Vanilla Buttercream recipe. It's the perfect buttercream for cake decorating, because not only does it pipe beautifully, but it is a crusting buttercream which means it will hold its shape in warm weather, so there's no need to worry about your beautiful designs melting off.
