A lovely lunch - food was delicious, service excellent. Wine is very overpriced, but the Cloched Hat are hardly alone in massively marking up wine: it seems absurd to me when a inexpensive bottle of Chilean merlot (at least if you bought it online), accounts for nearly half the bill. Difficult to clean properly Verified Reviewer I like these in theory, they do the job in terms of covering containers and foods, but I find them very difficult to clean well so they're not really very practical to use regularly. The ambiance was incredibly quiet there were only another couple of people in the restaurant and it was a friday night. Serving Cloche in four sizes is the symmetry of this collection. The natural world around us is based on geometry that communicates in shapes, patterns, texture and colors. This serving cloche is aligned with the wonderful mystery of nature’s geometry and everything it has to offer. The tasting menu and accompanying wine flight was excellent with only the sweet being slightly out of place.

Service: a whole bunch of very young people that, although very nice, made a lot of mistakes. We asked for 2 kirs as aperitif and we got 1 elderflower with white wine… none of them knows how to clear a table properly. Our aperitif glasses stayed on the table until the end.

It got dry one side after a night, then the next morning I flipped to another side to dry it but it is not possible as the you can never flip it completely to the right shape to let air to dry it, It curls around after flipping over. My only complaint is that because of the mechanical design, it's not possible to lift the cover w/o it closing/collapsing as there aren't any struts or anything to keep it propped open once you lift it and if you want to open it or lift it with one hand, it will start closing and may brush up against food (only an issue b/c we have a messy toddler and so there is often food on the outside of bowls).The service was generally good and the staff are young, polite, keen and learning and sometimes it shows. The seating area by the bar (before going to the table) is not well thought out with an odd layout, uncomfortable chairs and rather hit and miss service.
