Over 50 years I have had many many camping chairs, non have come close to this one for: most important comfort, shoulders are supported and you can slouch, you can sit up and the chair moves forward a little with you making using a stove on the ground, doing boot laces etc etc dead comfortable. These are tools for the trail and it is important that you can use them on any terrain. So if this is about a soft surface or sand, you will have to go for the design where you have bars on the ground. You have seen several nice options in the list. The weight limit for these is 100kg I weigh less than 80 and I have had 2 break on me at the exact same point

I thought I'd save my review until I'd had this chair over 6 months and had given it some hammer and I can say it's still going strong. The LEKI Sub 1 is aluminum construction with bonuses. Those include a removable cup holder and an elegant carry bag that doubles as a storage pouch because you can attach it to the frame as shown in the picture.This is a chair with truly advanced technology and features. You have a patent-pending unique reclining design. This is why it is also in my list of best reclining camping chairs. This Monarch chair is something totally unique, a chair with two legs only. It has been on the market for a decade already. In view of its two legs, it is surprisinglycomfortable.
