(I would love to see Bradbury's response.) This is an interesting, thought provoking read. It seems like a warm-up exercise for The Graveyard Book. * * * *

Well done all. We need more books like this to promote understanding that we are all different in our own way and that is ok as it makes for an interesting world. How awful would it be if we were all the same? I like the book M is for Autism because it is interesting to see how different but how the same a girl with autism is. I rate this book 5/5 because it is interesting, funny and exciting.

Sunbird"- This story is very unusual and unpredictable. I seriously had no idea where it was headed until it had arrived. Professor Barry Carpenter, OBE, PhD, University of Worcester M is for Autism invites us into the world of a young woman with autism and allows us to view it through her lens. What an intriguing world we enter. This is a book to be read by everyone! No doubt Abbie loves the Lord, her husband, and her kids. I appreciated her desire to share her goal of Biblical based mothering and wanting more from this generation of Christian “mamas.” However, I consider myself a high capacity mom of 3 boys who wears many hats similar to Abbie, but I felt like I only read all the things I was subpar at that she excels. She calls it conviction if you feel less than, I felt like it was straight up guilt/shame. And even if she said “follow me as I follow Christ” referencing Paul… I certainly felt like she gave every opportunity she could to just say - actually just follow me and my ways. I think it would appeal to both autistic teens and neuro typical teens as autistic teens will benefit from realising they are not alone in their anxieties and the NT teens will get an insight into just how hard life is for ASD teens. They might then gain a better understanding of the quiet geeky girl/boy in their class and know that it's not that they don't want to join in, but how hard it is for them. Inclusion is what we are aiming for.

Understanding and education are key to us all getting along and I think this book should be in every school library and all children, autistic or not, should be encouraged to read this book and it's sequel which I've not yet read but intend to. Her first “sin” reveal is that she scrolled too much on her phone shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding AFTER the kids went to bed. 🙄🙄 How to Sell the Ponti Bridge": It's perhaps the most difficult to appreciate, because detaches itself from the gothic and sometimes melancholy atmospheres in which are immersed the other stories. However, it still bright and extravagant.Practice uppercase letter tracing with these super cute animal alphabet cards A-Z or these alphabet animals printable worksheets, free alphabet matching worksheets I liked this book because the character and what happens to her describes me a lot - for example having her own little world to escape to when things get too much, and her anxiety about things which I struggle with a lot too but I am also autistic.

The book is primarily narrated by a 13-year-old girl who calls herself M. M can't understand why she can't be "normal" like the rest of the kids in her classes, thinks her father must have left because of her, gets frustrated with her mother's misunderstandings of her, and sees her anxiety as a ferocious creature that is constantly stalking her and threatening to overtake her. M doesn't seem to fit in with any of the kids in her class, and her pain and frustration becomes more clear during her meetings with a counselor. Part of the book is narrated by M's mother, which give the reader a bit more understanding of her struggles to understand her daughter while desperately seeking signs of her reciprocated love. Who is this book suppose to be for? All of her examples of “mediocre” motherhood seem very much like people who need the hope and love of Jesus. I would never give this book to a non-believer. And for Christians- we have FREEDOM IN CHRIST! We are not mediocre in His eyes. We are beloved. We are His masterpieces- Ephesians 2:10. The first short story in the collection has a private investigator trying to find out who pushed Humpty Dumpty off the wall. Apparently, it wasn’t an accident, it was murder. The cliches and one-liners fly like bullets in this opener. This story has a strong “Jasper Fforde” feel to it and is a comical start to the collection.A mineral is a naturally-occurring solid whose molecules form a regular pattern (usually forming crystals). Some common minerals include quartz, salt, diamond, and feldspar. I love the way that Neil Gaiman seems to view the world from a very different perspective. He has an eye for making the unusual interesting. I cannot recommend because I feel it will compound any existing shame that someone may have and it could, as it did for me, lead them more into themselves and a dependence on their performance as a mother instead of Christ’s as our only sufficient Hope for our children or ourselves. The Earth has one moon. The moon has no atmosphere. The same side of the moon always faces the Earth. Whereas Fragile Things had decidedly adult content, this one gets no more racy than the suggestion of teens having "a time good" at a house party in "How to Talk to Girls at Parties". The rest is mostly stuff such as a crime noir version of nursery rhymes, a troll-under-the-bridge story, foodies in search of the ultimate meal, and a take on the quest for the Holy Grail in which an ordinary housewife finds the Grail at a thrift store and won't give it up to Sir Galahad because it looks nice on her mantel. (I could totally see one of the Pythons in drag playing the woman.)For those who are still looking to complete your Halloween book bingo, there are some stories in here for you that you may want to take a look at. What I gather from this book (intended for a YA audience) is that Gaiman allows himself to get more experimental with stories than perhaps with his novel. As always, the writing is superb. Sometimes, the stories edge on the likably bizarre.
