A BBC Video slide advertising the other six Fireman Sam video releases, which are Lost Cat, Sam's Day Off, Snow Business, Norman's Pitfall, All in A Good Cause and The Very Best of Fireman Sam 1 - all of which are also available on BBC Video. Trevor's Bus has a flat tyre and Dilys and the children have been waiting for ages at the bus stop - trying to get home after the sales. Can Sam help them both? Poor Bella! She's lost her beautiful ring and Trevor's flooded her cafe - trying to find it for her. Can Fireman Sam come to her rescue? It's all happening in Pontypandy today! Dilys has lost her memory after a fall and thanks to Norman, she thinks she's Bella Lasagne - the local cafe owner - and Fireman Sam has a new recruit - Firefighter Penny Morris.

With a gale blowing in Pontypandy, Sarah and James find that their kite is flying rather higher than they intended! Can Fireman Sam help? It's all go at Pontypandy Fire Station with Trevor on his part time fireman course. But as Station Officer Steele sets up a drill for him, it looks as though trouble with Dilys's drains will give him some real experience. There are 2 versions of this video and both versions contain a different BBC Video Ident at the start and end of the video. The teleprinter message should have said "RTA (Road Traffic Accident) on the Newtown Road" as a traffic accident would not come under a special service call.The content of Dilys's Forgetful Day - used on The Very Best of Fireman Sam 1 - would also be used again on the 1992 BBC Video release of 4 Fun Favourites (BBCV 4883). The content of Chemistry Set and Treasure Hunt are both taken from the original 1988 release and 1992 re-release of Fireman Sam 3: Sam's Day Off (BBCV 4197). Version 2 is The 1993 Re-Release which contains The 1991-1997 BBC Video Ident along with a slide for Fireman Sam 1-4, Fireman Sam 6 and The Very Best of Fireman Sam and from that point onwards, all subsequent re-releases contained The 1991-1997 BBC Video Ident. Follow the antics of Fireman Sam, everyone's favourite fireman, as he stars in four entertaining episodes featuring a host of delightful characters from Pontypandy, a small town somewhere in the hills and valleys of Wales. Not far from an old disused mineshaft, Norman is fishing by the stream. Not far away, Bella Lasagne and Rosa are having a picnic with Sarah and James. Norman spots the picnic and likes the look of the chocolate cream eclairs, he swipes one with his fishing rod which also hits a wasp's nest in the tree above him. A swarm of angry wasps then swoop down on Norman and then suddenly take an interest in the chocolate eclair. Norman runs away but the wasps just chase after him, following the delicious scent of the chocolate eclair. Sarah and James spot Norman and shout at him to get rid of the cake.
